Shaping contours of entanglement islands in BCFT

A bstract In this paper, we study the fine structure of entanglement in holographic two-dimensional boundary conformal field theories (BCFT) terms spatially resolved quasilocal extension entropy — contour. We find that induces discontinuities contour revealing hidden localization-delocalization patterns degrees freedom. Moreover, observe formation “islands” where vanishes identically implying these regions do not contribute to at all. argue phenomena are manifestation islands recently discussed literature. apply proposal BCFT black hole models reproducing Page curve moving mirror model and pair thermofield double state. From viewpoint contour, also carries imprint strong delocalization caused by dynamical islands.
